The cast bronze statue of Ilchee stands on the bank of the Columbia River about one mile east of the I-5 Bridge. Ilchee was the daughter of a Chinook chief, Concomly, and wife of Chief Casino. She was considered a very powerful woman and shaman. It was said of her  “She paddled her own canoe.

The top border shows the formal Chinook greeting next to an image of Loowit (Mt St Helens) erupting.
